So very sorry to hear of your Dads passing Colleen, Darren, and to the families. I knew Del through his music connections that go way back to the music festivals held in Dorchester Cape. More recent, I had the honor and pleasure to work with Del to prepare his presentation for his induction into The Sackville Arts Wall. Always a warm smile and heart, a great sense of humor, an all around wonderful person. Rest in peace Del.

Del was one of kind , sadly missed but will never be forgotten
I remember him coming to a scouting meetings/ campfire.
He always interacted well with youth and had them singing loudly .
He did the skit about a car outside that had it's lights on after repeated exits to get a description of the vehicle
He arrived back with an entire plastic bumper with the license plate still attached . The kids thought for SURE that he had ripped it off one of their parents cars.
I have my own bumper and have used that skit many times.
Now it will be in remembrance of a great gentleman, Del Wheaton

Thinking of family and friends during this time. I have many fond memories of playing music with Del at Midgic Baptist Church. He was always so encouraging and positive. He made you feel like part of the band, and enjoyed playing with every single person. I will miss his fiddle playing, and warm personality.

We are truly sorry for your loss. Del's smile was infectious and could light up a room. His sense of humor was sharp and funny. Those days of going to Midgic Church, loved Sunday morning with your music, I loved the harmonica as you reminded me of my dad Robert Sears playing. I told Del that my heart was full after he played.
