Obituary of Louise Grace (Smith) Snowdon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Louise Grace (Smith) Snowdon on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the age of 93.

 

Born in Quincy, MA she was the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Seale) Smith.

 

Louise worked at Mount Allison, the Sackville Box Factory, as well as many grocery stores. She ended her career tending the phone for her husband (Doug’s Taxi).

 

Louise is survived by her daughter, Judy Ells, as well as by her beloved grandson, Stephen.

 

Louise’s family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Beatrice Milne, Extra Mural and to her caregiver, Mary Wells.

 

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Douglas Fairbanks Snowdon; her favorite son-in-law, Don Ells, as well as by all four of her siblings, Anita, Arlene, Arthur and Thomas.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (506) 364-8188. A graveside service will take place on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 1 pm at Four Corners Cemetery with Rev. Colin Holmes officiating. A reception will follow at 1:30 pm at Campbell’s Funeral Home and all are invited to attend.

 

If so desired, donations in memory of Louise may be made to CARMA Sackville Chapter, Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or to the charity of one’s choice.
