Obituary of Marlie Jean Curwin

Sackville, N.B.- It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts, that the family of Marlie Jean Curwin announces her passing after a brave battle with cancer. Marlie passed away at the IWK Hospital in Halifax on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 in her mama’s arms, with her family by her side. Born on February 9, 2015 in Moncton, she was the daughter of Erin Lynn Curwin. Marlie was the brightness in all our lives. She was funny and so smart! She loved to make people laugh, she would be silly and watch for our reaction. Marlie was our little cuddle bug. She loved to cuddle into your neck, suck her thumb and play with your hair, but she was never more comfortable than when she was in Mama's arms. Marlie was loved by so many. She has touched so many lives- from her family to complete strangers. She was an amazing little girl with a big loving spirit who loved to play, listen to music, read books, and watch the “Price is Right” and family feud. Marlie loved having someone sing to her. She loved to make people smile and her smile would get bigger knowing she made us smile. Our lives were and are so much better for having her in it! Marlie will be lovingly remembered by her mama, Erin Curwin; her auntie, Kellie Curwin; her grandparents, Veva and Gary Curwin; her great aunt, Linda Coates; her great uncle Allan Coates; her great uncle, Kevin Hicks, as well as by many cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Visiting hours will take place at the funeral home on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place at the Main Street Baptist Church on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 2 pm with Charis Aubey officiating. The burial will take place in the Westcock Cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Marlie may be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Atlantic, 1133 Tower Road, Halifax, NS, www.rmhatlantic.ca or to the charity of one’s choice.
