Obituary of Bea Ward
It is with sadness, but peace of heart that we announce the passing of Bea Ward on Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital with her close friends by her side. Bea was 84 years of age.
Born on April 27, 1931 in Sackville, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Lucy (Bembridge) and Roland O’Neil.
Although Bea never had any children of her own, she was known affectionately as “Auntie Bea” by many children in Sackville and was much loved by many.
Bea will be lovingly remembered by her three nieces, Patricia O’Neil Brown, Susan (Gene) Myer and Marguerite (Terry) Taylor; her nephew, Stewart Ward; her special friends, Phyllis Estabrooks and Cheryl Estabrooks; her sister-in-law, Joyce O’Neil and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Bea was pre-deceased by her husband, Lawrence Ward; her brother, Robert O’Neil and by her two nephews, Steven O’Neil and William “Billy” O’Neil.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). In keeping with Bea’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visiting hours or funeral service. The burial will take place in the spring in the Four Corners Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bea may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
