Obituary of Emilienne (Emily) Anna LeBlanc

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Emilienne (Emily) Anna (Richard) LeBlanc on September 14, 2025, at the Sackville Memorial Hospital in Sackville New Brunswick. Emily passed away peacefully at the age of 92 years, after a short illness, with her two daughters by her side. 

Emily was born in LeBlanc Office, Westmorland County, NB on July 15, 1933 and she was the daughter of the late Albenie and Regina (Legere) Richard.

Emily will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Nancy Wheaton and Kathie (John) Gould; her son-in-law, Irvin Sears; her sisters, Albina Landry and Aline Beal; her sister-in-law, Carolyn LeBlanc; her grandchildren, Jeannie (Andrew) Guzman and Leigh Ann Wheaton (Josie); her great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Daniel Guzman, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, Emily was pre-deceased by her husband, Frederic (Fred) LeBlanc; her daughter, Janet Sears; her grandsons, Eric Sears and Jason Gould; her son-in-law, Eric Wheaton; her brother, Valerie Richard and her infant brother, Donald Richard, as well as by her sisters, Yvonne White and Delia Burke.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville N.B. (506) 364-8188. In keeping with Emily’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A service will be held at the graveside in the Holy Rosary/St. Vincent's Catholic Cemetery Middle Sackville, NB on Monday, September 22, 2025 at 2 pm with Father Damian Nwachukwu officaiting.

The family wishes to send a heartful thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Sackville Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care and the kindness shown to Emily and family during this trying time.

In memory of Emily, donations would be appreciated and can be made to the Sackville Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, the Holy Rosary St. Vincent’s Cemetery in Middle Sackville, NB, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.
