Obituary of Juanita Belle (Estabrooks) Wilbur

It is with great sadness that the family of Juanita Belle Wilbur, age 96, announces her passing at the Moncton Hospital on Friday, September 12, 2025.

Born in Midgic, NB on May 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Alder Estabrooks and Jesse (Hicks) Estabrooks.

Juanita enjoyed gardening in her younger years and although she never learned hobbies such as knitting and crocheting, she always enjoyed watching others create things. She liked watching game shows, enjoyed telling stories about family and the old days and she liked listening to others talk. Juanita remembered everyone’s birthdays and always made a phone call to sing Happy Birthday. Juanita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Juanita will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tena Baker of Sackville, NB; her two grandchildren, Amy Wood (Russell Munday) and Ryan Wood; her special nephew, Matthew Steeves; her special niece, Jacky Price; her sister-in-law, Gloria Estabrooks; her special kitty, Molly; her caregiver, Brittany Campbell, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Roy Wilbur; her sons, Philip Wilbur and Lawrence Wilbur; her sisters, Rhobena, Christena, Hattie and Grace; her brothers, Lawrence, Davis, Vincent, Alder, Wesley, Nelson and Henderson, as well as by a sibling in infancy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Erin Campbell and staff of Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville NB. Visiting hours to celebrate Juanita’s life will take place at Campbell’s Funeral Home on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 1-4 pm and all are invited to attend.
